Understanding the New Fast Trax® Websites
Understanding the Fast Trax® System (Websites)
This article is dedicated to helping existing and future students navigate the new Fast Trax® System family of websites.
The Fast Trax® System is broken into (4) separate and individually functioning websites with their own unique content. None of our old sites (www.electricalcodeacademy.net) have any interaction with the new system or future expansion of the Fast Trax® Family.
In this article, we will give a description of each website in the Fast Trax® System and how they should be utilized.
- FastTraxSystem.com – This website will be our “Flagship” website for all our online courses that are administered via our website. For example, If a course on Conductor Sizing is offered on FastTraxSystem.com it will only be accessible from the www.FastTraxSystem.com website. When you visit FastTraxSystem.com you will register for an account and set up your own password specifically for this website. It will NOT work on any of our other websites.
REASON: Because we want every website to be independent and require its own login and password structure. This allows for members who desire to be a part of FastTraxSystem.com to not be bothered with emails from other websites that they may have no interest in. - TheSparkyHub.com – This website is simply a PORTAL to the forum that is hosted by the FastTraxSystem.com website. However, it is also a standalone feature that requires its own registration and password to be set up. The Sparky Hub username, email, and password you set up at registration will only work on the discussion forum and will not work on any of our other sites. Remember, they are all standalone websites or features.
REASON: The same reason is given for #1 above. This allows participation in the discussion forums without fear of being bombarded with emails and notifications from our other websites. Again keep all our sites separate and register individually on each website. - FastTraxTube.com – This website is going to serve as our Video repository. This is where we will be hosting and sharing all our videos and other videos of like interest to viewers. In the future, all Annual Memberships will have access to the premium content as part of their subscription. This website is our answer to Youtube. Also, any video series done on the Fast Trax Courses will be hosted and shown only on this platform. You can subscribe to annual memberships starting April 1, 2023, on FastTraxTube.com if you desire access to our exclusive videos and other videos we share from other providers.
- FastTraxChat.com – This website is our LIVE communication platform. Our family of products is supported by a LIVE chat feature as well as a perpetual posting chat stream format that allows guests as well as members to post messages in our chat rooms. We have a customer support room for those who need questions answered about the Fast Trax® Products as well as a room to discuss the National Electrical Code. The chat rooms are designed to allow individuals to post a question and get a response either in the chat itself or via a private message feature built into the chat platform. Like all our other sites you will need to register for this platform. However, if you actually register for the Fast Trax System website it will automatically register you for the Fast Trax Chat. You can also access the chat at https://chatroom.fasttraxsystem.com as well.
Our Chat Rooms are open to everyone. Feel free to visit, or start a chat with friends and you can even have your own PRIVATE CHAT within our chat rooms.
IMPORTANT – We are going to try and make this as clear as possible. The login information on all our existing websites, such as electricalcodeacademy.net, electricalcodeacademy.com, or electricalcodeacademy.net will not work on the new websites. You MUST register individually on every website you choose to join. However, we do have a TIP for you that can make this transition easier for you.
- Use the same email address when registering on all our websites.
- Use the same password when registering on all our websites.
- WRITE DOWN YOUR PASSWORD!
Now, if you follow the above steps you will have the same username (email) and password on all our sites so when you log in you only have to remember one set of usernames and passwords.
EXISTING FAST TRAX® STUDENTS – These new websites DO NOT affect how you access your Fast Trax® Course, such as the Fast Trax® Black. You are still going to log into Cengage as you always have and proceed with your course in the same manner you have from day one. The third-party hosting of our Fast Trax® programs is NOT CHANGING!
Understanding our New Mobile App
The new mobile application is rather simple. The reason we are moving to a new app is to bring more usability to our customers. In fact, most know that Electrical Code Academy, Inc. recently purchased an APP Development Company and launched TradiesAPPS.com. It was a foregone conclusion that a new app would be in the works.
Like the websites mentioned above, when downloading the new mobile app you will need to register it just like you do the websites. On the app itself, you will see an App Login button. Click on that and hit the register button and create an account on our mobile app.
Registering the mobile app will allow you to receive notifications of new programs, quizzes, and features. and other learning moments are only available to those who are registered users of our mobile application. We are accessing any personal data, we have the desire to know your “inner secrets” and quite frankly it is simply to allow us to push messages and notifications to you internally via the app itself.
We encourage everyone to get our mobile app. We will be adding so many features, such as online calculators, quizzes, chat rooms for technical questions, discussion groups, and so much more. We have so many plans for 2023 we could not begin to share them all here.
Hopefully, this short article has helped clear up any misconceptions about our migration from the old websites to the new websites. The desire to keep “ALL” websites independent and separate is for a purpose and it allows individuals to use any of our platforms they wish without having to interact with those platforms that do not wish to partake. Privacy is important to CEO and his pure hate for social media is the driver of our new eco-system of websites.
