⚡ Buzz Watts Adventures – Episode 2
The Arrival of Arc Flash
The night was unusually quiet in Wiretown. The kind of quiet electricians know isn’t right—the kind that hums before a fault.
Inside a dimly lit commercial building, a maintenance worker stood nervously in front of an aging service panel. Lights flickered across the hallways, breakers hummed, and somewhere deep inside the steel cabinet, heat built with every second.
Suddenly, the stillness shattered. A jagged figure of fire and plasma erupted from the panel, eyes glowing like molten copper. His laughter cracked like a breaker tripping under heavy fault.
“At last!” the figure roared. “Arc Flash is free!”
The worker stumbled backward, shielding his eyes. Bolts of searing light arced from the panel door, leaving scorch marks in the drywall. Arc Flash stepped into the open, his body a storm of blinding energy and shredded insulation. “Every loose connection, every carelessly handled fault—they all feed me! And tonight, Wiretown burns!”
But just as the building’s lights dimmed toward darkness, the sound came—
BZZZZZT!
Buzz Watts burst onto the scene, spiral head glowing like a beacon, EMT tubing body braced against the surge. His lightning-bolt arms snapped with energy as he squared off with his nemesis.
“Not tonight, Arc Flash!” Buzz shouted. “This city doesn’t belong to you.”
The two clashed in a storm of sparks—Buzz forcing breakers closed, Arc Flash ripping them open with bursts of fire. Workers fled the scene as the battle raged, the building trembling with every strike.
At the height of the chaos, Arc Flash suddenly grinned. With a blinding flash, he slipped back into the service panel, vanishing into the maze of wires and feeders.
Buzz scanned the room, but his enemy was gone. Only the faint smell of scorched insulation lingered.
The maintenance worker looked up, terrified. “Is… is he coming back?”
Buzz tightened his grip on the Codebook at his side, his glow dim but steady.
“Count on it,” he said. “Arc Flash never stays gone for long. But when he returns… I’ll be waiting.” ⚡
And with that, Buzz vanished into the night—his legend, and the war for safety, only just beginning.

We need this so bad.. why can’t an electrician be a child’s hero or role model? We need to bring kids in the fold at a young age.. I wish I was introduced to electrical theory at young age.. I was taught how to wire houses at 14 because my family had electric hvac plumbing business but I didn’t know why we do the rules we do, just knew I had to to pass inspection.. looking back I have wired large public buildings and didn’t even know why we isolated neutral and ground downstream.. I was bragged on and people didn’t know that I was ignorance to the code.. fast Trax systems is a must have.. it has taught me so much that makes sense now..I see master electrician that do questionable things daily and has me wondering how did they get this far not knowing the correct way… keep up great work Paul and electrical code academy team..let’s reach every little mind that would normally not have access to this knowledge..maybe not doing this for youngsters but it would reach them in a good way
I can rest easy knowing, Buzz is out there…
